Transylvania Flavour - European Restaurant in Kitsilano | Vancouver
Our restaurant is closed at this time, and will
re-open for business on March 1, 2012
Come in once and you’ll be back…we promise!
Transylvania Flavour Restaurant first opened its doors in 2004 in the historic Gastown. Family owned and run, our restaurant was a favourite with the local residents, businesses and tourists and after three successful years it was time for bigger and even better things!
You will enjoy casual elegance, comfort and great taste as you dine on European cuisine, made with Canadian ingredients and blended with traditional Transylvanian flavours prepared by our chef and our European chef consultant, maestro in culinary arts. From lamb and trout, perfectly grilled steaks, delicious soups and crisp fresh salads to our traditional cabbage rolls and sausages, our menu will please every diner. We offer a great wine list and delectable homemade desserts.
Whether it’s a casual lunch, a nice dinner date or a private function, you will always be treated like one of the family and will have a truly memorable dining experience!
Transylvania Flavour... what is it?
For our family it’s the aroma of slow cooked lamb, in a fire pit under the stars on a camping trip, paired with steamy hot polenta. It’s the warm oven roasted potatoes, sauerkraut salad and homemade red wine brought out from the cellar just before dinner. The cabbage rolls bubbling on the stove on Christmas Eve and the freshly baked sweet walnut bread on Easter morning...
The medieval knights fell in love with all that when they came to Transylvania centuries ago, and we hope you’ll also love our classic creations ... rooted in history and aromatic memories!
